Our Vision – What We Are Called To Do:
“Making Disciples who glorify God by intentionally loving one another, participating in the growth of the body and reaching their community.”
The Focal Points Of Our Vision
Equipping People: We believe God has a purpose for every person. Our aim is to equip people to fulfill the plan God has for them. Therefore we help people discover their God-given gifts and calling. Then we teach them to carry this out in their families, communities, the church and beyond.
Church Planting: We are called to plant churches that emphasize the teaching of God’s Word, dependence upon the Holy Spirit, and the loving fellowship of believers. This starts in Jaco, Costa Rica. From there, we aim to raise people up and send them out to plant more churches throughout Costa Rica and beyond. Jaco serves as a unique sending point because of its diversity and transience.
Our Mission – How The Vision Is Carried Out:
Reaching People, Making Disciples, and Loving God
Reaching People: Because we believe God has a purpose for every person we desire for people to experience the fullness of God’s plan for their life. This is only possible through Jesus. Therefore, we reach out to our community in practical and tangible ways that meet their needs while showing them their need for Jesus. Then we invite them to follow Jesus and become fishers of men.
Making Disciples: Discipleship is an ongoing process accomplished through intentional relationships. We teach them God’s Word and how it applies to every area of life while also modeling Christian living for them. We encourage intimacy with God in their daily lives. As they abide in Christ they experience life transformation and begin to display the Fruit of the Spirit in their own lives.
Loving God: Jesus taught that loving God is seen in living surrendered to Him. We believe people begin loving God and others once they understand God’s love for them. Therefore we teach people about God’s love, His new covenant of grace and their new identity in Christ. This teaches them to live a life of faith and surrender, making them more effective at loving one another and their community.
