Established in September 2005, CCJ is an international body of believers that has a passion to reach Jaco for Christ. We take seriously the call to “make disciples.” Our goal is to exalt Jesus above all else and to establish, through the Holy Spirit, a church where Gods sheep can be fed and the Lost can be found. We are a fully bilingual church, utilizing both Spanish and English throughout our services. It is our passion to see lives transformed through the teaching of God’s Word, the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the loving fellowship of believers. We also desire to reach into the community in unique ways in order to meet people where they are at. We currently have a weekly outreach to children in one of the local parks and annually host short term mission teams. Some of the projects done by these teams include construction, vacation bible school, drama, medical clinics, street evangelism, cosmetology clinics, surf lessons, soccer lessons, and small work projects.
In July of 2009 we made the decision to leave the facility that housed our cafe and church which was consuming over 100 % of our resources. Since then, we have been meeting on a covered soccer field with the freedom to minister more practically. CCJ is now supporting other missionaries and reaching into other parts of the world. We are currently focused on our “corE.413″ discipleship ministry and other weekly outreaches. God is always working. We don’t know what the future holds, but He is continually reinforcing the body here with key people and gifts. It has been exciting to watch Him put the pieces into place. It is even more exciting to wait and see what lies ahead. God loves to change peoples lives, and we are blessed to be a part of the change He is producing in Jaco.
